That quote is from the movie The Notebook which was based off of the book written by Nicholas Sparks. The Notebook is a classic chick flick. It was one of Nicholas Sparks first books he ever wrote and it became a classic novel.

When you talk about The Notebook every woman wants their life to be like Allie. They want to have a Noah who will fight for them and only want to be with them and will do anything possible to make sure it happens.

 The Notebook is about a man and a woman who meet at a carnival and they start to fall in love until she has to go back home with her family. He goes off into the military and she does not hear from him. They find themselves reunited over a house that Noah said he was going to fix up and it would be his and Allie's new house. The rest is up to you to watch.

The Notebook stars Rachael McAdams and Ryan Gosling as Noah and Allie. The movie was based off of Nicholas Sparks. The movie and the book have alternate ending but both are very good. The Movie was released in 2004. The Notebook is a must watch movie. I think that guys will enjoy it too. :)

Mean Girls

      When most girls or people hear  someone talking about the movie Mean Girls, they think of one of the greatest girl/ chick flick movies. Mean Girls is also a very quotable movie.

      Mean Girls first came out April 30, 2004 by Paramount pictures. Mean Girls was directed by Mark Waters, and was produced by Lorne Michaels, Tony Shimkin, Louise Rosner, and Jill Messick.  Mean Girls was written by Tina Fey. 

      Some of the actors and actresses in Mean Girls are Lindsay Lohan who plays the main character Cady, Rachel McAdams, Lizzy Caplan. Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried and Tina Fey. Mean Girls was based on the Book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman.

      The main story line of Mean Girls is about a  sixteen year old teenage girl who was home schooled all her life, who moves to Illinois from Africa. She meets social outcasts and they show her that public school has many different cliques. She meets the most famous clique the plastics. She decides to befriend the plastics group in spite of what Cady's only true friend said. At first Cady is just pretending to like them just so she can find out information about Regina who is the leader of the plastics. When Cady starts acting a plastic she finds her self with no real friends. This movie is mainly about how school can make a girl change and what female social cliques are like and how they have an effect on girls.

      If you look on Facebook most girls status' is a quote from mean girls. Probably the most quotable line/ phrase from mean girls is four for your glen coco, you go glen coco. 

     Mean Girls was said to be Lindsay Lohan's breakout film.

     Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies because it is really funny and portrays real life if you really think about. Girls try to fit in so much in high school that they become so self absorbed. Every high school also has cliques, they might not be as strong and well known as shown in Mean Girls but they are still there.  I recommend that you watch the movie Mean Girls, you won't regret it! :)

To Infinity and Beyond!

All the Characters

     I hope that you know I am talking about Toy Story when you read the title. I grew up watching Toy Story. The first movie came out in 1995 which was the year I was born.

     In the first movie Andy(voiced by John Morris) falls in love with Woody the sherriff(voiced by Tom Hanks), until Andy gets a new toy. Buzz Lightyear(voiced by Tim Allen). Buzz makes Woody feel like Andy has lost sight that Woody exists and thinks that Andy only loves Buzz. Meanwhile Buzz is trying to save people like he thinks he is suppose to from his commercial. Andy and Woody have an adventure that they both have to work together even though they dislike each other.

     After the first movie was a success Disney and Pixar decided to make a second Toy Story movie, Toy Story 2. In this second movie we meet back up with some of the main characters from the first movie, Woody, Buzz, Andy, and some of the other minor toys, that are not main but are still important to the movie. 
     We also meet some new toys in the second movie. We meet Jessie a cowgirl(voiced by Joan Cusack), his horse Bullseye, and Stinky Pete the Prospector(voiced by Kelsey Grammer) who are all from the old popular television show Woody's Roundup. During this movie the gang goes through some problems again but in the end Jessie and Bullseye become a part of Andy's toys.  
     In 2011 Toy Story 3 came out. In this third movie we meet Lot's-O-Huggin' Bear( voiced by ). Lotso is an evil bear. At the beginning Lotso makes friends with Woody, Buzz and the gang at Sunnyside daycare where they get donated when Andy goes off to college. The gang thinks Lotso is very nice until he makes a plan to have Woody killed.  The toy's all help to try and save Woody. 
     All the Toy Story movies are great! If you are young or old you will love these movies. They are great for family movie nights. :) I recommend that you watch all three.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

     Stephenie Meyer the writer of the Twilight Saga has another one of her books becoming a movie that will come out on November 18, 2011. The Twilight Saga consists of four books, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and the final book Breaking Dawn.     

     Breaking Dawn the book is broken up into three sections, the first and third section is from Bella Swan's view point just like all the other books in this saga but the second section is from Jacob Black's view point.  

     In case you don't know anything about the Twilight Saga here's a little background information. Bella Swan is a human who has just moved from Phoenix, Arizona to live Forks, Washington with her father. Edward Cullen is a 104 year old vampire that Bella falls in love with because of his mysterious personality . Then there's Jacob Black who is a werewolf that has been in love with Bella ever since they were little.
     During Breaking Dawn Bella and Edward get married which absolutely crushes Jacob. While on their honeymoon on a little island in Brazil Bella finds out that she is pregnant with a half vampire and half human baby.
     Since Bella is only human her baby is taking over her body which is slowing killing her. Bella is not strong enough to continue with this pregnancy unless she gets turned into a vampire, so she won't die from their magical baby inside of her.
     In all the other books ever since Bella and Edward started dating Bella has wanted to become a vampire just like Edward and his family so that she and him would be in love forever.
     While Bella and Edward are trying to figure out what to do about their baby, Jacob and the Wolf pack are after Bella and her baby. The wolf pack wants Bella and her baby dead.
     Jacob, Edward and his family are going to work together to attempt to save Bella from the wolf pack. It is strange that Jacob the werewolf is going to work with Edward the vampire to help Bella. Jacob is only working with the vampires because he still loves Bella even though she is now married to Edward and carrying his child.

     Now, for a little about the movie. The movie from what I have gathered follows along with the book pretty well just like all the other movies do. Bella Swan is played by Kristen Stewart, Edward Cullen is played by Robert Pattinson, and Jacob Black is played my Taylor Lautner. I know that the Breaking Dawn book is kind of long but what I don't understand is why they had to make the movie into two parts. I guess it will leave people wanting the second part.
     But the real question is: are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?

The Lion King cast

     When I think of The Lion King I think of my childhood and how this was one of the movies I grew up watching. 

     The Lion King was released in 1994 by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie takes place in Africa and was influenced by the bible tales of Moses and Joseph and the Epic of Sundiata. The movie was also influenced by Shakespeare's play Hamlet. The Lion King has a sequel The Lion King II: Simba's Pride which was made in 1998 and also has a prequel The Lion King 1 1/2 which was made in 2004. The original Lion King recently came out in 3D in 2011. 

Mufasa and Simba

     The Lion King is about a group of lions who live in the Pride Lands. The movie starts out with the arrival of Simba at Pride Rock who is the son of the king Mufasa and the queen Sarabi. Mufasa's younger brother Scar does not like the fact that Simba was born. As Simba is a young cub his father Mufasa teaches him how to be a king so that one day when his father dies he will be ready to be the king of the Pride Lands. 

     When Simba is young he has a fascination with this forbidden land. Mufasa has told Simba to stay out of this shadowy place, but Scar tells Simba that this forbidden land is an elephant graveyard. This makes Simba want to go to this land so he has his best friend Nala come with him. When they get to this land they see hyenas who want to eat them. The hyenas chase after Nala and Simba but Mufasa comes and saves them. Mufasa tells Simba that the stars in the sky are of the past kings and they will guide him if he ever needs.

    Scar plans to take over the Pride Land. Scar has the hyenas help him with his plan to kill his brother. Simba runs away as Scar plan is being put into action. Mufasa goes to save Simba but Mufasa gets stuck and is falling off this rock and needs his brothers help to stay alive. Scar does not help Mufasa instead he kills his brother by not helping his brother. Simba thinks that he was the one who killed his father and Scar let Simba believe this. 

    Simba is ashamed with killing his father that he leaves the Pride Lands and plans to never return again. Scar now becomes the king of the Pride Lands. As Simba ran away he was found by Timon, a meerkat and Pumbaa, a warthog. Simba continues his life living with Timon and Pumbaa who teach him the life lesson hakuna matata which means no worries.

     After many years Simba finds himself saving Timon and Pumbaa from a lioness who is Nala. Nala tells Simba about how Scar has lead to suffering of the Pride Lands and asks him to return to the Pride Lands so he can become king.  Simba refuses to return to the Pride Lands because he is still ashamed of his fathers death. Simba finds himself talking to a ghost of his father what tells him that Simba is his son and that Simba is the true king of the Pride Lands.

    This makes Simba realize that he needs to go back to the Pride Lands to save the other lions. When Simba goes back to the Pride Lands he fights Scar. This is when Scar tells Simba the truth about the death of his father Mufasa. This makes Simba furious and Simba kills his uncle Scar. 

     Pride Rock returns back to it's old days and Simba becomes the king of the Pride Land. Simba and Nala have a newborn cub that will inherit the king role. 

     The Lion King is a great movie for all ages and is a inspiring movie. The Lion King was written by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts and Linda Woolverton and was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff. The Lion King is 87 minutes long and has made a total of $920,938,076 from the box office. 

     The Lion King is one of my favorite movies because it was new when I  was a little kid and it also portrays a well written story line. The characters in the Lion King are very unique. The Lion King is a always will be one of my favorite Disney Movies.

Pride Rock

The Parent Trap

     The Parent Trap.
     When I think of that movie I think of it as my favorite movie when I was probably ten. The Parent Trap is a remake of the 1961 Parent Trap Movie. The 1998 film stars Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson and Lindsay Lohan. Quaid(Nick) and Richardson(Elizabeth) play a couple that got divorced shortly after having twins. Lohan(Hallie and Annie) plays a double role as Quaid and Richardson's twins.  
     Hallie who lives with her dad in California who has never met her mother and Annie who lives in London with her mother has never met her father. Hallie and Annie were both send to the same summer camp in Maine, where they couldn't stand each other. They both got into trouble and were sent away into the isolation cabin.
     In the Isolation Cabin they found out that they were sister's but more than that twins. Hallie and Annie were never suppose to meet. While they were staying in this cabin, they came up with the idea to switch places so that Annie could meet her father and so that Hallie could meet her mother and so that their parents could meet again. 
     Once camp was over  the girls went on with their plan and Hallie went to London and Annie went to California. 
     The girls plan to get their parents to meet again and get back together was going to be harder than they thought now because their father was now engaged to Meredith, who is only interested in Nick for his money. 
     To break up the engagement Hallie has to tell her mother about the switch so that they can fly to San Francisco to meet Nick to switch them back at a hotel where Nick is meeting Meredith's parents. Nick figures out about the switch at the hotel when he sees Elizabeth. Hallie and Annie host a dinner for their parents on a yacht to recreate the first night they met. 
     There is more to the movie but I think I have said enough without giving away the whole movie. If you want to find out about the ending, watch the movie! It is a good movie. The movie was directed by Nancy Meyers and was distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The Parent Trap is rated PG and runs 127 minutes. The Parent Trap is a good movie for all kids and even families. You should go watch it sometime!

A Walk to Remember

        Most of you I hope have heard of A Walk to Remember. The Nicholas Sparks book that was made into a movie? Ringing any bells? 

        Well if you haven't seen it you defiantly should. This movie is in my top 5 movies! I like the book too but im just going to focus on the movie. The movie is about a typical love story, what else would it be about that's what all Nicholas Sparks' books are about. But that's off topic. 

       So, as I was saying the movie is about a love story between a shy, outcast, church girl who's dad is the reverend at the town church and a popular rebellious boy. After a hazing incident gone horribly wrong Landon Carter (played by Shane West) is punished and has to participate in many after-school activities and her also has to be apart of the spring musical. 

         While doing this community service Landon meets Jamie Sullivan (played by Mandy Moore). Landon and Jamie start to hangout more after Landon asked her to help him with his lines for the play. Of course she said no. :(  Later in the movie Landon does something very nice for Jamie and makes her feel better. I don't want to say anymore to ruin the movie.

        A Walk to Remember is a fantastic movie. Once you watch it you will most likely agree. I would read the book too. The book in my opinion is much better but all books that get turned into movies are that way. The movie was directed by Adam Shankman and was written based on the Nicholas Sparks novel. The movie is rated PG. I think this movie is mostly for females but some men might like it too. It's a great movie, so go watch it!
